Hailey Park

Hailey Park is situated alongside the River Taff stretching for about a mile North from Llandaff. It has facilities for Tennis, Bowling, Rugby, Football and dog walking. This section of the River is used extensively by the Llandaff Rowing Club.

Hailey Park to Sophia Gardens

Travelling South from Hailey Park we pass through a subway at Bridge Road. Stay alongside the river following the path past Llandaff Weir with the rowing club on the far bank and the spires of Llandaff Cathedral beyond.

After the subway under the A48 Western Avenue, continue straight ahead past the Tesco store to Blackweir, then cross the river into Pontcanna Fields on the footbridge at Blackweir.

Now continue through Pontcanna Fields (Playing fields) to Sophia Gardens.

Hailey Park to Tongwynlais

From Hailey Park we follow Ty Mawr Road.

Turn left into the path immediately after the Melingriffiths Canal Water Pump to follow the river path to Forest Farm Road.

Now continue past Cardiff HSOB RFC Diamond Sports Ground, Forest Farm conservation centre, the footbridge across the river to Radyr Station (with frequent services to Cardiff) then past Radyr Weir and Fish Pass, bridges under the M4 past the "Iron Bridge" and the A470 to Tongwynlais.
